Croeso i Ysgol Gynradd Craigfelen Welcome to Craigfelen Primary School
Craigfelen Community Primary School is a vibrant and happy school set at the heart of the village of Graigfelen. Our large village primary has a capacity of 125 children who come from both the Graigfelen and Clydach Communities. Craigfelen is blessed with over five acres of beautiful landscaped grounds that includes a Prince of Wales Award nature reserve, floodlit all-weather sports court, rugby pitch, tennis court, three attractive and secure playgrounds together with a willow garden. Craigfelen School has been almost completely renovated and redecorated during the last twelve months. Facilities include:- refurbished hall complete with wireless sound system, stage lighting and creative play area, refurbished school council room and conference suite, new lobby area, loop system Flat screen television PA system to celebrate pupil acheivements and to inform parents. All class rooms have also been completely refurbished. The children, parents and staff of Ysgol Craigfelen are proud of their school and of the wonderful range of curricular and extracurricular activities on offer. In addition to a well attended free breakfast club the school also supports a heavily subsidised afterschool play scheme. Moreover, in addition to a completely refurbished nursery, the school also hosts a very successful and oversubscribed wrap round nursery service, Craigfelen Alpha Tots. Ysgol Craigfelen enjoys an extremely close partnership with Communities First and strives to enhance the life chances not only of it's pupils but all members of the Graigfelen Community.
